The purpose of this poster is to promote the film, and make sure that it's audience know when the film comes out, what it's called, what its about and who is in it.

This is a poster, it would likely be seen on a wall, bus or even on a website.
Another good place for this poster to be implemented would cinemas, it's presence there would remind people that the film is available to see, and could help them make a choice if they are unsure what they want to view.
c) Content
This poster features the two stars of the film, as well as the date of the film's release. it also features the title of the product and the studio that created it.
The tagline of the film is also present, and clues the audience in on the premise of the film.
d) Style
The style of this poster is very unified in it's colour, because it is a Captain America film the red white and blue colour scheme symbolises the american flag. The blue is also strongly associated with Captain America, and the red with Iron Man.
e) Layout
The two stars of the film are shown clearly in the poster. They take up the majority of the image and the way they look at each other shows us that there is conflict between them.
They are also arranged on opposite sides of the poster, and are each surrounded by either red or white, to further symbolise their opposition.
f) Target audience
The target audience for this poster is fans of the marvel films, particularly those featuring captain america and iron man. Because those characters are super heroes the poster's target audience is from the age of 10-28. This audience would probably have part time or full time jobs, and thus would have the spending power to see this film in cinemas.

The ASA is the regulatory body that dictates what content is appropriate for products like this in the UK. Any complaints that a member of the public might have about this poster are dealt with by the ASA. This poster doesn't not really feature any material that could present legal or ethical issues. More accurately it is the lack if female representation in the poster that could present an ethical issue.

They might also of seen Man Of Steel, as these two films take place in the same universe. The poster capitalises on this by displaying that superman prominently, letting the audience know the two are connected.

The ASA is the regulatory body that dictates what content is appropriate for products like this in the UK. Any complaints that a member of the public might have about this poster are dealt with by the ASA. There are no women featured in this poster, which could be seen as an ethical issue as there are women characters important to the plot of the film. However as far as violent or inappropriate material there is none in this poster that could present further legal or ethical issues.

The main characters of the film are displayed front and centre in the poster. The colours in the poster are very uniform as well, with a strong emphasis on the colour blue, everything in the shot is muted in terms of colour and overlaid with the blue fade. Blue and yellow are colours that contrast strongly.
f) Target audience
This poster is targeted at fans of the Watchmen comics, as well as fans of Zack Snyder's work. The poster makes sure to prominently feature the films main characters, as well as who directed it.
In case anyone isn't familiar with the directors name whoever designed the poster made sure to mention that the man behind 300, another critically acclaimed film was involved in this film.

This is because people in this age range are more likely to be online, as well as on the move from school/work. this means that they will the see the advertisements online, as well as the posters out and about.They also tend to appreciate clothing with unique designs, which means the T-shirt would appeal to them.
Product 2: Detective Bones - TV Series
Poster - An A3 poster to be put up on walls and in windows in public places to advertise the series.
T shirt - A promotional T-shirt featuring the cover art.
Website banner ads - Webpage advertisements that are placed online.
These ideas appeal to the target audience of 13-18 year olds. This is because an audience of this age range tends to be more active, and will see the poster promotions while they are outside. They also tend to appreciate clothing with unique designs, which means the T-shirt would appeal to them.

Album art - Promotional material for the album that is present with every physical/digital copy.

This means that they will regularly see the advertisements that are online. This audience also uses smartphones regularly, so the case will appeal to them as it is both decorative and functional.

Legal and ethical
Legal issues that our project could encounter include:
- Copyright issues of materials that we use which we did not make.
- Inaccuracies on the promotional material that lead to false advertising.
Some solutions to these include:
- Making sure that all resources in our project are either fair use, used with permission or created ourselves.
- Making sure at all phases of production that the correct information about the product is on hand.
Some ethical issues that could arise include:
- The content of our promotional material being considered offensive.
To solve these problems we could:
- Make sure to adhere to the ASA guidelines while we are creating the product, as well as making sure that it adheres to these during the final design phase of production.
