Meaning
Big Baby and Robot Love tackle similar imagery. An example of this is the "internalised horror" that Burns talks about, we can see this clearly in Big Baby, the moment in which the masked man drags the body into the hole, and the child decided to go to bed, but with the comfort of his night light.
This is similar to what happens in Robot Love, in Timmy's mission to discover his own identity he transforms his own body into something grotesque.
This draws a direct parallel to Big Baby, in the sense that both of these kids are exposed to something that changes them forever, and is potentially traumatic.
Target Audience
Burns' comics were targeted at people who wanted to see more complex stories in comics, these people are describes by Burns himself as people who would read RAW magazine, people who could look pas the surreal visuals and enjoy the stories presented in this unique format.
Characters
El Borbah's base concept started out as a lose sketch of a luchador that Burns drew while watching a wrestling match. From here Burns started to carve out his personality, basing him on the typical gumshoe detective archetype as well as his close friend John Borba.

My comic would appeal to my target audience member because:
- The story line and basic premise are reminiscent of anime like DBZ and FTNS.
- It contains lots of action scenes.
- The writing in my comic is comedic and referential in nature. This will appeal to my target audience because they enjoy jokes and humour in their stories.
- My comic will also appeal to my target audience because it is cheap but has good value, and they are students with low income.
- The use of mature language and themes in my comic will also appeal to my TA because they are from the ages of 17 to 22.
- My comic has far more male characters than female ones, so it will likely appeal to my target audience better as they are male.
